Khalid was a famous bull giraffe at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (CMZoo) in Colorado who was affectionately nicknamed "Big Daddy." Standing 16.5 feet tall and weighing 2,500 pounds, he was a gentle giant.
 
Born on May 3, 2008; he lived to be 17 years old before passing away in December 2025.
He fathered seven calves and became a grandfather in March 2025.
Known for being very sweet, personable, and gentle when taking lettuce treats from zoo visitors... including me!
